Any holiday at all GIMP is able to liven up your holiday images with its light plug-ins if you find yourself without the fancy camera lens.
First, a quick peek at the new GIMP zoomable previews (new to me, December 24, 2005 at least). There were so many of the gimp people born in what is considered the holiday season that it is nice to have a penguin birthday cake here for them because sometimes those birthdays can get lost underneath the christmas tree.
Now for Holiday twinkling....
This year Flickr has a few years of images tagged and available. Several holiday related images were there, I chose a these from a collection of images that are licensed the way I like to use on web pages like this and tried to put those licenses online. It makes you wonder what you might be doing next year....
I used two different plug-ins, I prefer supernova for this image.
I grew up with Christmas Trees. When I went searching for an image of a Christmas tree, I was looking for a tree that looked the most like both of my grandparents trees and ours. The sparkle plug-in was made for an image like this...
