The movie was very beautiful, cinematically.
The story, about the frustrations of being trained to do something and not being allowed to do those things -- you don't need to be a soldier in todays military to share in this.
I remember the commercials for this movie when it was in the theatres, the commercials and the music were edited together very well. The movie was not a disappointment after such commercials.
Something that I find to be very disturbing about watching movies, here, which have been downloaded from the Direct Satellite and stored on the TiVO -- is the way they seem to be interactive. This movie was no exception as far as that is concerned. The two soldiers, who had been trained to be snipers, were being allowed to go do this sniping thing. Here, in real life -- yosh and his computer had one of those sudden bowl attacks and he vacated the movie and headed to his personal potty.
Then, on the movie, right before they were going to take a shot at their target, the man from the insurance sales commercials shows up and tells them to watch how they fire bomb targets.
Yosh emerges from the personal potty complete with his computer in hand and the movie continues....
If anyone thinks that I can be trained to not mention names while I watch either the television I am being forced to watch or movies that I would not have seen if I were running my own life, I suggest that it would be in my best interests to mention as many names as possible during the viewing so that this little era in my life might come to a screeching halt.
