Make an essay gallery with GIMP.
I am not certain what to call it, but I wanted to make a set of color images resemble the sets that would appear in some of the old books I saw that had nice photographs and a theme. The style of the photographs would always go nicely together and yet look very different from anything that I could get from my camera.
I liked the way this first attempt seemed to unmitigate the building and put it on the visual level as the path. It was also almost like the season of the image has been rotated from just past the solstace to later in the summer.
The blue component, the blue component equalized and mulitplied with the original and the blue component, leveled and multiplied with the original.

Next, an image that has much less green in it.
Once again the walls have been unmitigated by the process allowing the path to have a stronger place in the image and the season seems to have been rotated.
Unmitigated seems to be a cumbersome word to describe the product of this effect. It was in the list of homonyms for the word stark. The word differentiate was there as well and sounds much more mathy and even multiplicative.
