same old stuff, some of it looks new
Sometimes I write tutorials because I like GIMP. Sometimes it is because the same question is asked over and over again. Lately, the tutorials seem to becoming more of a commentary of what a trite and cruel community the gimpdom has become.
No matter what your reasons for reading this stuff is, there is a chance that what you are looking for is not there.
Enjoy!
I was trying not to install too much software and trying not to spread out too much on the new computer and trying not to put too many images on my (recently most of the stuff removed) web site.
What I managed to do was make a mess of the gallery (but not of too many other things...). I am getting to where I also do not like the word 'gallery' for the things I want to put there. I have been successful with a smaller group of images which are starting to appear in the writing section.
Starting in late 2003 I gained access to a lot of things that I did not want access to and lost access to things that I did want. TiVO and Direct Satellite are two of the things I gained access to.
While watching these things (and other forms of entertainment as well) I noticed how good my memory is for many things I see there. This is a source of both pride and embarrassment as it means I threw away good portions of a life so that I could memorize the fiction of others.
Now I am keeping an online journal of it.
There was some kinda neat stuff in the older versions of this web site. There are a lot of embarassing to me things in there as well. It should be interesting to review that stuff and determine if it is me that should be embarassed or perhaps I should be embarassed about the company that I keep lately....
